Go Bloggerwave

I became a member in Bloggerwave two weeks ago, registered my blog which the approval didn't take that long, made my first post and then the second, third and fourth, and today, I get paid! Yooohooooo! I was surprised and at the same time thrilled when I opened my email this morning and read the message from Bloggerwave confirming the payment they made to my Paypal account. I wasn't really expecting the payment to be that soon! One of the surprises this week that I've got!

Becoming a member in Bloggerwave was so easy, registering your blog and have it approved didn't take much time, getting your posts approve is just like a walk in the park... and payment comes in too quickly! How cool is that? I highly recommend Bloggerwave to those bloggers who wants to get paid.

"Bitten" Line to Include Shoes

Sarah Jessica Parker's Bitten Line will now include shoes.

Bitten is SJP's clothing line which is the kind of supercheap and supercute stuff. It carries clothes that are affordable.. everything in her collection is just under $20!

As Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker helped make Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo household names. So it's especially fitting that her new "Bitten" line will include footwear, as well as casual apparel and other accessories.

Set to launch on June 7, 2007, the line will be available exclusively at Steve and Barry's -- the same chain that recently launched Stephon Marbury's popular and affordable Starbury line of products.

And with incredibly cute designs all priced at under $20, the anticipation for "Bitten" is already building. Huge preview posters are hanging in the stores with tag-lines such as “Shoes should speak volumes at a price that whispers," and "Fashion is not a luxury."

For a preview of SJP's line and information about live appearances, or to find a Steve and Barry's near you, be sure to check out the following links.

Tips in Buying Shoes

For those who loves shoes, here's another handy tip for you.

If the shoe doesn't fit, don't buy it. It won't stretch enough to be comfortable and goodness knows, your feet will never shrink. Make sure you follow these guidelines:

There should be about 1/2" between the tip of your biggest toe and the end of the shoe.

Stand up when being fitted because feet are longer when you're standing.

Buy shoes at the end of the day when feet are largest.

Measure both of your feet - they may not be the same size.

I have problem in buying shoes. I have an odd size and shape feet. They're long and slim and the shoes that I always found were either fit the width of my feet but are too short or fit the length but is too narrow for the width. Now, tell me where can I find the right shoes for me other than to have them customized? But, I don't own a customize shoes yet.

And what do I get from this dilemna? Calusses in almost all of my toes. Thanks goodness, I am not really wearing leather shoes that often these days that those pronounced buttons on my toes have lighten and are not so visible.

My Pick for the Day

It is getting colder in my side of the world and a slipper like these would be great to warm my cold feet!

I love, love the color and style...

Do you think, I can get these from one of the shops here? Tonight?

Shoes to Wear with Short Skirts

I don't really wear short skirts as I have nothing much to show off. :D But if ever I will, I have this tip handy on what shoes will complement it. Read on...

The Best Shoes for Short and Mini Skirts
The whole point to wearing a mini skirt is to show off your legs. But the wrong footwear choice can actually call attention to things you'd rather not emphasize. Below are a few of the best choices in shoes to wear with short skirts, as well as a few styles to avoid.

Flip-Flops: If you're going super casual, flip flops or other flat sandals are a great look. If the skirt is simple, such as a denim mini, you can really perk up the look with a sandal that has beading, sequins or metallic detailing.

Sneakers: It's definitely a casual look, but sneakers can work well with a short skirt, like a denim mini. Avoid puffy, cross-trainers, and stick with a streamlined classic. Keds would have a cute, somewhat preppy look, while Converse would add an edgy/urban twist.

Wedge Sandals: Mini skirts are all about the legs, and there are few things on earth that emphasize one's legs more than a pair of wedge sandals. More...

Pick and Match

Before I discover the shoe-mania in me, I always buy neutral colored shoes to be always on the safe side when matching it with my hand bag and clothes. Then came the rushing of a shoe person which nudge me to buy shoes of variant colors with matching handbags and to be frank, to spend a hard earned money for luxury like these is sometimes emotional-tearing. What's more pocket-wrenching is you have to make sure that you have clothes of the same shade or better yet, buy them together with the shoes. What a dear hobby, I would say.

This tip is very helpful for dressing up.

Q. Which Shoes Should I Wear for Special Occasions?
A. Shoes should be at least the same color intensity or darker than the dress (not lighter) as a general rule (there are always exceptions) Go for a little shine for a special look, including beads or glitter or just a metallic gold, bronze or silver leather. Sandals, slingbacks and open-toed pumps are perfect for special occasions because they jazz up most dresses and look so feminine. You don't need stilettos, but women look best with a little bit of height added (at least an inch of heel).

Top 6 Sandals to Own

I'll try to own these six variants. :D

Wedges, metallics, color and flats make news this season. In general, flatter heels (1 1/2" and less) look best with shorts, minis and ankle-grazing skirts; wedges and stilletos pair nicely with knee-length skirts and pants. And don't forget a perfect pedicure!

  1. Metallic Sandals - Great with white, the metallic sandal adds a bit of gleam to day or evening footwear for warm weather.
  2. Wedge Sandals - Get some height this season with a heel of cork, rope or rubber.
  3. Bright Patent Sandals - Grab attention with shiny red sandals or eye-popping yellows. The bolder, the better!
  4. Print Sandals - Add some funk to your casual wear with animal, lizard and floral prints.
  5. Flower Sandals - Show your feminine side with pretty petals on your feet. In brights, naturals or pastels, the flower-embellished sandals is the perfect partner for skirts.
  6. Jack Roger's Sandal - The preppiest sandal around! Get your Navajo slide in pink and green, metallic, black and white: you pick the combo.
