Palm Birds

These are Galahs on the palm fronds. They are very noisy birds. See more critters here.

Winter Pretty

Gloomy, Musty and Mouldy Weather is coming soon down under. I don’t follow fashion as much but I noticed that the colour seems to suit the weather and mood of the people. Bland and dark colours – black, gray, beige, name all the neutral colours.

I’m no fashionista but I reckon it should be otherwise. Wouldn’t you want to lighten things when it is gloomy? Why not wear bright colours? I can only think two things why the fashion is this way. People tend to gain weight during cold months – it’s too cold to go outside and have some physical activities – would rather be a couch potato. I want to hide the unwanted pounds on my hips. Plus, even when the sun is up it’s still cold and dark colours attract the sun, so yeah, it could be a source of warmth.

Glamoosh Madam Bow $199 www.glamoosh.com

George Wu top $242, Caterpillar skirt $280, stylist's own brooches and ribbon belt, Alexandra Harper hat $250, Adorne bracelets $35 and ring $14.95, Leona Edmiston Pins tights $22.95 at Myer, Manas Lea Foscati boots $279.95 at Jules & Roc

I just have to admire them.. they’re quite pretty. One thing for sure though, I wouldn’t change my style this winter. Bring on bright tops.

Just surfing around without any aim yet I found these stuff that I think would like to use if I buy them. These things are all panacea to my hectic so called working-mum-wife life, that I so love when I don't feel stressed-out. A woman has got to do something to lighten up the mood, right? Shopping and reading, they all do it to me. Although, I am not looking forward to the day that I have to check http://www.wrinkletreatment.org not just for fun but because of necessity.

For noe, enjoy wrinkle free face.

Weekend Loot

Did a little retail therapy yesterday. I am so happy with what I found - I just can't get enough of them. I especially like the bag. Red is not my colour but I like the style. I always have a thing with structured bags. This will be relegated as the weekend bag until I get tired of it and switch to something else. It's so spacious that I can just chuck my car key or maybe my lip balm (or a business card if somebody happens to give me one whe I'm in the business card printing) and I could still find them. The secret is, don't carry so much stuff.

I also like the hair barrete. I have decided my favourite colours are blue and yellow and they don't have to be on one thing at the same time.

By Patrick Cox

I'm feeling a bit glitzy and I happen these sparkling pairs. They are dazzlers especially the Dorothy. I really have to watch the Wizard of Oz again. I haven't owned a pair with blings on them so that will be my next obsession much to the objections of Mcj - at least it's not on Black and Mild cigars. I have a thing for not liking glittering shoes but if they are these, I wouldn't mind.

Lace-y

Sculpture Lace Pump
Lace unexpected—lovely black lace overlay designed with beautifully gothic construction.
Lace and mesh overlay with leather underlay.
Lace floral applique adorns the heel.
Lace mesh flows along vamp, leading to a round toe.
4 1/2" leather-covered heel.
Made in Italy.

For the life of me, I really can't see why these shoes have to be that costly. I suppose anyone who can afford to buy such doesn't need explanations why (I supposed also that wrinkle removers is not on the list they worry, Not!) . The attitude of I like them so I'll get them rules.

NCampbell Mishap

A classic of the category was all over fashion magazines in 1993 when the catwalk feline Supermodel Naomi Campbell, tripped on the blue Vivienne Westwood platforms making history in this section of mishaps.

It seems the Viviene Westwood collection is know for being lethal on the catwalk. Even if I maybe taking joint supplements, I wouldn't be able to take a single step without tripping over in these over a foot heel shoes. Fashion is always for those who can carry it with dignity and grace as it defies practicality and safety. But full of beauty.

Bright Side

of cold months, that is. Trendy clothes for winter.

Designer: James Lillis
Composition: Polyester/elastane
Sizing: XS, S, M, L
Origin: Australia

I'm not really into leggings. Unlike some who may have to resort to fat burners, I have narrow hips but if they are these trendy, I might give it a try. Let's see if I can pluck the courage somewhere.

Size Matters

Shopping for clothes in Australia has been a feat for me. True there are shops everywhere but that’s my worry. I’m more concerned on the sizes of the clothes. The shops around our area are mostly carrying stocks from size 8 up. And I’m size smaller than 8. It varies depending on the brand, I can be size 4 or 6 or eight sometimes (my normal size not from rapid detox for opiates). To shop for my clothes, we have to go to shops far from us – it’s always a special trip.

To solve that problem, I have long avoided shopping for clothes in Australia. In our last trip to the Philippines, I bought myself heaps of work clothes. I can still get casual clothes here from time to time so I still get my fix of retail therapy.
These tops come in size 6.. Oh how I like them.

Keeping My Feet Warm

Coming from a tropical country, I despise cold weather. It makes me move like a tortoise. Our lifestyle changes come winter months. If I can have my way, I’ll take that Outer Banks vacation rental offer and take off somewhere warm.

The cold months are 3 months away but I’m bracing myself. I’m always on the look for winter gears.

I would love to own these pair. My ugg boots are not really for outdors – the inside gets wet if I walk on the dewy grass. These are exactly what I need.

Friday Fill-ins

1. Why are you making me so happy?
2. I want you to take some time off work.
3. Oh well, then it will be on my terms.
4. Press F5 and see what happens.
5. I could use a little bit of slack now.
6. I'm blogging now and then eating.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to putting my feet up, tomorrow my plans include a visit to the dentist (and put a dent to our health savings account) and Sunday, I want to go somewhere for photo opp!

It seems that the one of this meme is a conversation (more on argument) between partners. Lol.

Light and Bright

Your Flip Flops Say You're Grateful

You are a warm, friendly person who simply enjoys life.
You don't complicate things for yourself. Life is too short!
You have a super optimistic attitude, and you have figured out how to be happy.
Everyone wants to know your secret... and it's a lot more simple than they might think.
Your ideal warm weather place: San Diego

There's only one thing that I will object on the above meme San Diego (is it near Scottsdale real estate?) - I'm in an idea sunny place, Sunny Queensland except this week, there's no sun at all. It's a shame.

One thing for sure that I learn to buy thongs is light and bright colours to lighten my dark skin.

Pick - Dresses

The architectural details and warriors clothing details of ZEUS are reflected in brown, green and gold tones of copper interrupted by block of leathers and coppers. Coppers merges delicate silk tattered cotton in creatively juxtaposition dip-dyed silk cotton.

Something quirky and something I could buy in sale and will be kept in the closet. Lol.

I love this get-up. Cold months is coming up and I can only imagine myself doning them. If only I could muster courage to wear dress or skirt to work.
