Sensible Shoes

Perhaps the most sought after thong of the season, FitFlop brings us round two of their latest craze in fitness footwear. The WalkStar II delivers the fitness engineering of the WalkStar, along with patent leather and a micro-fiber liner on the inside that helps secure your foot to the footbed. Engineered to absorb shock and lessen joint strain, they also claim to help tone and trim your thighs, calves, and backside. Available in black patent.

I'd like to try these slip-ons. They seem comfy. I've just been shopping wearing flats and my feet are aching. I should have just worn my thongs. If only I'd been sensible. Next time, I know better.

Have to go and rest my feet on area rugs while cooking. Can I do that? Hopefully.

Tips on Choosing Running Shoes

I can’t remember owning a pair of specially made walking or running shoes. I do have some sneakers. Well, where would I use the walking or running shoes anyway? Picking up Blackberry plants? Not! I might contemplate on buying a pair when the need arises.

But I would like to share some tips on choosing walking shoes:

Essential Walking Shoe Qualities

Flexible: You must be able to bend and twist the shoes. When you take a walking step, your foot will flex as you roll through a step from heel to toe. If the shoe is too stiff, your foot will fight it with each step.

Flat: Walking shoes should have a relatively flat heel.

Heel Not Flared: Since walkers strike with the heel first, you do not want a big flared heel. In fact, a slightly undercut heel is preferred.

Ugg Boots

Well, it's cold season again in Down Under. We start digging up our old humpers, woolies, hats and ugg boots. Speaking of Ugg boots, I eventually got a pair (cheap sorts). They're very comfy mind you. I wear them everywhere around our place, except when going out. But maybe, when it gets too cold, I would use them when going shopping. Hahaha.

Anyway. wondering how to clean them? Here's the link to the video clip I saw. It's quite helpful.

You wonder what Ugg Boots are? According to wiki:
Ugg boots (sometimes referred to as uggs or ug boots)[1] are a style of sheepskin boot, with wool as the inner lining and a tanned outer surface worn by both men and women. Ugg boots often have a synthetic sole, although this is not universal. Uggs have been identified as a fashion trend for men and women since the early 2000s.[2][3] In late 2008, Ugg boots grew again in popularity with men as male celebrities were seen in them

Anyway, so much for ugg boots, got to go.. have to check wholesale electronics.

Bag for the Shoes

Do you like the shoes below? Well, just click on them and you will be directed to the site. Want a bag to go with the shoes? I like this one. Better than the best acne treatment that I could ge. A bit affordable though.

Whimsical navy patent straw tote bag by Lilly Pulitzer
This straw tote inspires good times and general monkeying around. With navy patents accents and gold hardware (including the monkey on the fold over flap), this tote is vacation destined and yet, carries a computer with just as much ease as a beach towel (although we prefer the beach accessories to the computer ones). Colorful canvas lining. Magnetic closure. 3 interior pockets. 7" strap drop.

Today's Pick

It's been a long while since I last updated this blog. As always, I have a very lame excuse - busy busy busy. :)

Anyway, on the shoes department, I love these. Hummm.

Colorful and feminine tied-dyed pumps by Bettye Muller
Tie-dye inspired, the batik-like print revels in shades of yellow, teal and gray against a backdrop of navy blue. Its exquisite, feminine lines (it's the same style as the Bardot for the many of you that loved that shoe), and its festive fabric make the Rita equally flirty and festive. If ever in doubt, wear with jeans for a look far-out. 3 inch heel. Leather sole. Made in Italy. Medium width.

I can't afford them though - not within my budget for something that I can only wear occasionally. Maybe, if I'm one of the Mesothelioma lawyers, I'll have all the money to buy them.
